AUSTIN TRENTON REALTY, Spring 2011
AUSTIN TRENTON launches its newest--and most agressive, For-Sale-By-Owner Program to date...its FREE For-Sale-By-Owner Program, featured on its website's landing page. AUSTIN TRENTON now gives homeowners no reason not to list. As now--like Craig's List and Zillow, homeowners can give their homes all the exposure power associated with the Multiple Listing Service FREE of charge, as the program has no upfront fee and no commission fee when the homeowner sells their home to their own Buyers as a For-Sale-By-Owner--including Buyers that the homeowner sells their home to as a For-Sale-By-Owner that are referred to them by their agent, all the while their home is listed on the Multiple listing Service.

Where Do Buyers Come?
-

-
88% of buyers purchased their homes through real estate agents.
-
36% of sellers offered incentives to buyers in the form of assisting with a home warranty or closing cost.
-
88% of sellers were assisted by a real estate agent when selling their home.
-
47% of sellers reportedly reduced their asking price at least once.
-
85% of sellers reported that their homes were listed on the Multiple Listing Service.
-
The share of home sellers who sold their homes without the assistance of a real estate agent (“For-Sale-By-Owners”) was 9%. However, what makes this interesting is the following…
-
40% of sellers who sold their homes without the assistance of a real estate agent (“For-Sale-By-Owners”) knew the buyer prior to the home’s sale. In other words, of the 9% of ALL homes that sold "By-Owner" (nearly 1 out of 10 sales), the seller knew the buyer--prior to selling their home, nearly half of the time. Thus, if you disregard the buyers that had a previous relationship with these sellers (i.e., friends, family, neighbors, etc..), sellers are only successfully selling their homes "by-owner" to buyers--that they don't know, only 5 1/2% of the time. (only 1 out of 20 sales)
-
The typical For-Sale-By-Owner home sold for $184,000 compared to $230,000 among homes that were sold by an agent.
